I love wine... LOVE wine. White, red, rose... I drink it all, but my favorite wine adventures of all time were in Burgundy. As a New Yorker ( at least I think I can say that now after 7 years...), you can get to France just as quickly as you can fly to Napa... So, that justifies a trip to Burgundy if you are considering a wine trip anytime soon, right? One of the most beautiful, ornate hotels I have ever spent the night is the Abbaye de la Bussière and my experience there was just as magical as these photos. This 12th century Cistercian Abbey feels like your own serene, private castle and is equipped with the most delicious restaurant - Bistrot des Moines. Fun fact: Burgundy has 31 Michelin starred restaurants so diets don't work there, but eating your way through this city is worth every bite.
